Just arrived this morning, splendid Kar98 (pre-mod) with ZF41 scope, 4 mags, sling and case. I've been testing it in the 'range' and I'm loving it - 6mm holes in everything that hole-able!

Where did you get your Kar and sling from CW? I'm looking forward to trying one or two out on the training day but will almost certainly want one.

Looked on RSOV but Keith doesn't have them up on the site - :D

Thanks again for the links CW - :D

Don't mean to nag, but any particular reason why you bought in the UK rather than from HK - is it to do with restrictions?

:D

I'd guess its a case of "want it now!". Most Airsofter's have limited patience when it comes to getting new kit ;)

You missed the first line - I bought mine second-hand.
I just pointed out where you could get it from now if you can't wait or you want a UK warranty!

It was like Christmas this morning! So many parcels!

- New set of Jungle Greens (shirt and trousers)- for parade wear.
- Khaki Drill service Dress (Jacket and trousers) - for evening wear.
- GS Cap... to go with my Serge Battledress
- A second Yorks and Lancs Cap badge this time for the new GS Cap, but its damaged so I am in discussion with the seller. :(
- 1930s Tobacco Tin for water resistant storage... No, I don't smoke but was told I still needed one!
- Black plastic WW2 style compass for use at Churchill's
- "A Serviceman's Guide to India, Burma, Malaya and Sumatra" a rare 1945 pamphlet.
- DVD triple pack - "Objective Burma", "Never So Few", "Go For Broke"

'Objective Burma' with Errol "in-like-" Flynn. Not too bad. Funny how his Thompson changes in a Carbine and back to a Thompson in a single seen. ;)
'Go for Broke' with Van Johnson. No too bad either... a little too forced to be anti-racial perhaps.

Enjoy ;)

My little first aid kit arrived - very pleased. Only cost a tenner posted, from ukcamo.com ("theukshop" on ebay), and out of its DPM bag, it should all fit into a German tunic bandage pouch. :)

Also received my German nutter knife and sheath, ala Kermit!

Having to pay import duty and VAT is very hit and miss. I've ordered 3 times from Spearhead and dozens of times from WGC and RSOV and never been collared. My Brother has ordered ONCE and his parcel is currently being held by customs! If I recall, they want 5 or 10% import duty and 17.5% VAT. Some parcel couriers will also charge a "handling fee" if your parcel is held.

Basically, if your parcel IS held, you get ripped off and your saving in ordering from abroad is effectively wiped out.

When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!

Thanks guys. All sounds a bit hit and miss, which doesn't exactly fill you with confidence re HM customs and excise but there you go - :D Who are we to reason why.....?

I'll order what I need and keep my fingers and toes crossed -

Cheers - :D

Delivery yesterday, all from Spearhead. No tax either :)

Kharkov Parka
Oak A Parka
HBT tunic (herring bone twill coolness in the summer FTW!)

Pity that Barry "forgot" that id asked him to swap the FG insignia for SS. Oh well, Militaria-net order tonight.

Just a suggestion, but add a couple Paracetamol, Ibrufen and Diacalm to it , having as headache, cramp or the shits on a 24 hourer is a ballache. I personally add pro plus as well , but not a neccesity .

.....and a small bottle of snhapps ....
